Chapter 475: I am Death’s Door!
Chapter 475: I am Death’s Door!
If Chiron had not jumped as fast as he did, then the blade Emma stabbed through his back would have punctured his heart.
However, at the same time, she fell to the ground, Coughing up blood. The contract Emma had with Chiron was a master-servant contract.
This meant that the servant may never raise their hand on their master. If it were ever to happen, then the servant would die, regardless of how strong the servant was.
And then came a loud laughter that echoed through out the Temple. This was a very familiar voice. After all, it was Abel’s.
He immediately appeared from the ground. Chiron recognized him. He appeared behind her, "I hate your kind, but a deal is a deal."
He grabbed her by her mouth, and then he poured the content of a bottle into it. After which he made a certain symbol on her body.
*CRACK!*
Like egg against stone, Chiron felt a crack within his soul, and then came the shattering.@@@@
It was over. What had broken was the Master-servant contract that he had with her. The materials necessary to break the master servant contract that he had with his slaves was not easy to get. Then again, the Holy Church was a monster in its own right.
Emma fell to the ground, breathing harshly. However, she wiped her mouth of the blood as she raised her head to Chiron. "Forgive me master. I picked freedom and love over a life time of servitude to you."
Chiron stared at them lost for words. His face showed the level disbelieve of what was happening.
However, surprise did not hold Chiron for too long. "love for whom?" he asked.
"For me!" Prince Victor suddenly stepped out of a corner. He had a smug look on his face.
Chiron gave a dry chuckle, "who would have thought that your tongue would be so sweet that it even poisoned one of my own?"
"Poisoned? Don’t make me laugh, Nephew! I did not poison anything..." Prince Victor walked up to Emma, pulling her up to her feet.
Chiron had cut his own hand from the shoulder down.
And then he leaped in the air, in an attempt to keep a distance from Danfo, but just as he did, a massive punch located him while he was in mid air.
It had been from Kevin.
*BOOM!*
Chiron had smashed hard into a wall of prophecies for the Vandorian people.
Kevin landed on the ground, he laughed heartily, "Yes, that felt too good."
Kevin’s hand had been chopped off the last time the holy church had faced Chiron back at the Chikitsa clan. Even though the church was capable of restoring his lost limb, they did not do it. The procedure was a very expensive one.
After the defeat they suffered at Chiron’s hands, it was even a privilege that they were allowed back into the Holy land.
For now, he was left with one hand. But that did not stop him from being a force not to be reckoned with on the battlefield.
Then again, he was still a Copper rank cultivator.
Prince Victor saw this and laughed. "Chiron, you are done for. You dare try to steal my throne from me!? Today, you shall visit the doors of Death!"
However, a subtle voice was heard, as if to echo off the walls. It was laughter. But it was not aggressive. It was like one had heard a joke that was not funny, but had to laugh, not at the joke, but at the stupidity of the person that had cracked the joke.
Chiron’s laughter was like a stain on the walls, as if to mock them.
Slowly, he pushed against the gravels, pulling himself up with his remaining hand.
"What do you mean?" Chiron stood up as his feet, staggard a bit and then his eyes looked at them, "... I am Death’s Door!"
