Chapter 168 - 5 Great Giants of Finor
Chapter 168 - 5 Great Giants of Finor
(Jackpot!!)
Leon beamed with excitement.
The first scroll he picked up in the third floor contained information that Leon couldnt find anywhere else in this region.
Unique herbs only seen in myths and legends. Their true properties and the conditions needed for their growth.
This information was absolutely precious and would normally be kept as clan secrets in the outside world. This library was definitely something Else.
"BloodMisty lilly" Leon Read out loud.
This was a special herb with the ability to refine the blood of warlocks and beasts making them several times more powerful. in terms of usage this was a gem for warlocks.
However, it was close to impossible to find. It needed three things, a misty environment, a bulk load of fresh blood and a special water called Ying water.
Not alot of people knew of this herb because of how few the instances of it growing freely in nature was. But for some reason, this library not only knew about it. But gave clear and detailed steps to build and artificial garden for it.
"This will be very useful" Leon smirked and memorised the instructions on the scroll.
A while later, Leon stood up and started walking around the library again. This time paying closer attention to his surroundings. There were alot of scrolls and books here each holding alot of precious information.
But
He couldn’t access them all, because of the 3 books a day limit set by the mysterious man. In fact Leon had tried to use the system to access the information in the scrolls without opening them but it just reported that they were blank pages.
Whatever was with this level was not something Leon could just bypass.
"Hmmm this....is?" Leon picked up a scroll and frowned, it read.
The seven beyond the wall.
Leon didn’t know what to make of such a title, but for some reason he felt drawn to it immediately he set his eyes on it.
—wooop
Opening the scroll Leon saw 5 names boldly written on the scroll with no descriptions or Expainations.
These names were.
Elemental school
Temple of God
Human sect
Dragongod clan
And
The Library of All knowledge.
Just these words sent chills through Leon’s very spine and instinctively he knew....that this was what he was looking for.
Powers that had stood the test of time, ones that have survived the winds that blew and toppled the powers of this world.
If anyone had the secrets to staying alive forever, it would be them or at least they would be able to point him in the right direction.
"Give me the full report" Tiawin said while staring at his army.
"Of the 15,000, 4 thousand are heavily injured and won’t be able to serve at optimal levels. 3 thousand are ill equipped and the rest are tired from the previous campaign.....as for....." the old tactician broke down the entire situation down for Taiwin.
He was the tactician of the Halmdin Marquee West of here and the person sent here to make sure that this battle went well. But he couldn’t help but sigh at his own report.
They had been beaten down quite seriously and he couldn’t help but feel annoyed.
Time and time again he had warn this guy to not go full out like a manic fighting like their lives depended on it.
But time and time again, Taiwin just through his advice to the back of his mind as if it was nothing.
This was the result, a beaten down army.
"So we are ready to go" Taiwin nodded as if he didn’t understand that this was a bad idea.
Even though his army was weakened he still wanted to take down his father as fast as possible. He was being irrational, it was no wonder why the Duke didn’t see them fit to rule.
(Sometimes I just wish I was on the other side)
With a sigh, the tactician thought. Taiwins brother Favian was much more careful and efficient. His army was probably still fully healthy hence the Duke sending his defence forces over there..
He was planning to crush Taiwin while his iron giant brigade hold down Favian’s army . Then he would make a full swing and take out Darren.
It was a plan that even the tactician couldn’t help but admire.
(At least we still have them)
Turning to the back, the tactician heaved a sigh of relief. This battle was more than it seemed and he knew it.
When taiwin came to ask for their help, the marquee of the halmdin marqueedom had chased him away with a massive wooden stick, threatening to beat him to a pulp, or at least that was what he heard....the marquee hated Duke Eylis, but he wouldn’t attack him on a whim, after all he was much more powerful than him.
but it all changed because the next day after chasing away Taiwin the marquee was visited by a mysterious person whom had "convinced" him to lend the boy his army.
It was strange that someone could make the marquee risk his peace of mind, but Apparently, the same thing had happened on the side of Favian’s too.
This war had been dictated by someone more powerful than the two sons apparently.
"You can say that.....but I advice we rest for..." gritting his teeth the tactician tried to stall, but Taiwin wasn’t having it.
"Good!!! Let’s begin" Taiwin nodded and gave the command.
The battle was about ti begin.
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
"Sigh, so there’s nothing to do until tomorrow" Leon closed a scroll in his hand and sighed.
He had used up his three chances to read the scrolls in the third level. He had to wait till Tomorrow before getting another chance.
"Hmmm there’s still the fourth level though" Leon thought in his mind while looking downwards.
The library had several levels, but no one really knew the end. One could only go down and hope for the best.
"Hehe, I’ve been here for a long time kid, I’ve not seen a single person make it to the fourth level" all of a sudden a voice sounded right next to Leon forcing him to look up.
There a woman with a hunchback stood looking down at him with eyes filled with pity.
