Chapter 148: Spots on the top 30 sky mages

Chapter 148: Spots on the top 30 sky mages

Not surprisingly, his tactic worked, amongst those in the top 15 of the tournament 10 forfeited their chances to Challange and opted to recieve favors from the royalty.

"You’ll be alright, just make such you don’t get into Any more fights." On the ground next to carlson and Co, a lady in gray robes said to the commoner who had fought Vincent not too long ago.

His arm bled profusely for a while so they had to bring in a medical Professional to help stop it and save him from dying.

"Okay," the commoner man nodded seemingly without a care in the world. His arm had been cut off, but the didn’t seem moved by it.

He was but a lumber jack a few weeks ago, this fight didn’t mean much to him. However, losing his arm was a big deal and it really frustrated him.

"Don’t worry about revenge. I’ll take care of it for you"

While the commoner man looked at Vincent’s figure on the stage with disdain. He felt a hand pressed down on his shoulder resulting in him quickly raising his head to look back at the owner of the hand.

Standing before him was a freakishly tall man with a face resembling that of a wolf and arms that streched to his tighs.

" ahhhh" for a brief moment the commoner was stunned. He thought that after his lost, Everyone stepped down from the competition.

He had no idea, but there were still 4 more contenders who chose to stay and fight and this guy was one of them.

"God speed" Beside the man, carlson encouraged him.

This was Ace.

As a part of Leon’s plan to "free" Damien. He had conscripted talents of the faceless mercenary company and others to join the sky festival with the hopes of pressuring the royalty.

Make the public like them then frame the marquee, this was the plan on the outter surface. But Leon had something more planned.

—Woo

Ace jumped vertically upwards as if not needing any momentum, and before you knew it, he was on the stage.

For mages at this level there were three forms of talents and strengths that were very valuable.

Spell proficiency,

Strengths (weapons and none weapon),

And battle awareness/prowess

Examples of people who excelled in one or more of these field in Leon company were...

Carlson— who had an insane talent in learning spells and could use them to their optimal potential.

The blade Demon— it didn’t seem like it because he was always antagonising Leon, but the blade Demon was a truly incredible talent in the usage of his magic treasure and Physical strength.

Arian— battle awareness, nothing more needed to be said about her fighting ability. She was a true genius that had even managed to put Leon in his place once upon a time

Then there was this guy, Ace.

"Next" the great elder said.

Ace had secured his spot on the top 30 as ranked 30th. And as the remaining Contestants still stood they were probably going to challenge for their own spots.

The way the Challange was set up was like this. The Challangers could only challenger those at the very end of the list, but not those who were new to it. I.e other challengers

—Boom!!!

From the sky, a figure in leather amour plummeted from the sky onto the stage from a high altitude.

"Come get it!!!" The figure bellowed in a Challanging manner with two battons in his hands.

He wasn’t the least bit pompous, he just wanted to begin fighting at the moments notice.

"You like this one?" Calrson looked to his side and said..

Next to him a figure beaming with a bright smile stood looking at the stage.

"Yes, he’s good" the figure said then in the next second.

—Boom!!!

Like a jet engine he blasted towards the stage.....unlike previous battles, these Two were ready to go at it from the beginning so as soon as the challenger entered the plaforms range the battle began.

"How does the faceless mercenary company have so many talents?" The great elder Titch mused.

Every single one of them was a talent, not the best of talents. But they were pretty talented for one power.

"I don’t know, but it can be dangerous" the great elder with the braided hair commented....

He truly saw a threat from this alliance between the faceless mercenary company, the waterway family, and the faystone ancestor.

On one hand they had a new level 4 mage on their side and if they were able to achieve great success they could get Damien back. And have two!!

They was no power in the entire of elodria that had two or more level 4 mage except the royalty. Not to talk about the peak level 3 existences like the faystone ancestor and half moon.

They were on the path to standing toe to toe with the royalty and he didn’t like it one bit.

"Let’s just see where this goes" the great elder Titch was not convinced.

He had faith in the loyalty of mages to their cause, what were they going to do? Cause chaos and let the warlocks take over? That was incrediblely stupid.

But if they tried though, there was still the sky temples people that were present here in the City today.

With them here the royalty didn’t even fair the warlocks talk less of the faceless mercenary company and Co.

Back on the stage, the match was soon concluded and not surprisingly, the boy from the faceless mercenary company won.

"Next match" the great elder Titch announced.

This time it was carlsons turn to fight for a spot of the top 30 sly talents of eldoria
