Chapter 555 - 323: Genesis, Neil Morton’s Astonishment!
The library at Canaan Academy is exceedingly vast, with each level resembling an independent world. Countless little elves flutter within, illusory and unreal, yet possessing great intelligence, even able to actively converse with humans under the guidance and whispered conversations of the little elves.
Thor has gained some understanding of the entire library and these little elves.
For instance, the little elves, which can be considered book spirits, are beings born from the illusory domain.
They are incredibly special; in this illusory domain they count as true beings, but outside of it they cannot be considered true beings. Only the master of the illusory domain can further change illusion into reality, allowing them a chance to become true beings.
Also regarding the library’s floors.
According to the little elves, there are seven levels in total, representing seven levels of authority.
Generally speaking, ordinary students have Level 1 Authority, lecturers Level 2 Authority, and tutors Level 3 Authority. Full-time tutors have Level 4, assistant deans Level 5, and the dean Level 6.
As for the more advanced Level 7 Authority, even the little elves are unsure who possesses it.
Thor is quite curious about this.
However, he is more intrigued by the vast collection of books in the library; the seven levels hold an immense number of books.
According to the little elves, even on the first and second levels, each has over a million volumes. The third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh levels, despite decreasing in quantity, contain an overwhelming number of books.
Thor cannot imagine how, in this relatively feudal era, human society could amass such a vast sea of books.
Thoughts wander.
The little elves then led Thor on a brief tour through the sea of books on the second level.
Until a moment later, the little elves finally stopped.
"Found it, it’s right here."
"This is all the content related to Continent Comprehensive History that can be accessed on the first and second levels."
The little elf’s cheerful voice echoed.
Thor looked up and saw an enormous bookshelf, densely packed with books.
Even with a quick glance, Thor estimated that there were probably no fewer than a thousand books here.
This left him quite astounded.
"Thank you!"
Of course, despite his amazement, he politely thanked the little elves.
"Hehe, no need to thank me. I’ll leave now. If you have any other matters, you can use your spiritual power to summon a little elf."
With these words, the little elf bid farewell to Thor.
Once the little elf left, Thor pulled a book out from the enormous bookshelf in front of him.
It was a book the size of a seven or eight-year-old child.
It was also the largest book in this pile.
More importantly, the side of the enormous book was inscribed with the words "Genesis."
After extracting the gigantic volume, Thor found a suitable spot and began to read.
The huge book contained ancient text, but fortunately, as a member of the nobility, literacy was a fundamental skill, and even though the text was ancient, it posed no challenge for Thor.
As he read, his thoughts were completely drawn into the pages.
"Divine Creation World!"
Muttering to himself, Thor’s voice was faint, and the pages he turned moved slowly.
Time silently flowed by.
Until the pages in his hands gradually reached the last one, he slowly ceased reading.
"Whew!"
Exhaling deeply, Thor’s eyes fell into a slight contemplation.
The so-called Genesis, as its name implies, is the creation myth of the entire world.
In this world, it was neither Pangu nor God, but Chaos who created the world.
Legend has it that in the era before the continent existed, the world was dark and disordered chaos, with no time, space, or myriad things, until a trace of consciousness emerged from the chaos—a being named Chaos, the God of Gods. Legend has it he was the boundless vessel filled with darkness and light, he was everything to the world.
Because of him, the world gained light, darkness, space, and distance.
After the birth of space, light, darkness, and distance,
The God of Space, Chronos; God of Light, Amun Ra; and God of Darkness, Tartarus, the three Upper Gods, were born.
The Upper Gods felt chaos, darkness, and loneliness, evolving the world within chaos.
The God of Light transformed into the Divine Domain, the God of Darkness became the Netherworld, and the sound of space shattered chaos, thus breaking the chaos open.
With the chaos fractured, a fourth Upper God was born, known as the Goddess of Life.
After the Goddess of Life’s birth, countless forces of life spread throughout the fractured chaos.
Chaos began to witness the birth of worlds.
Countless worlds emerged, creating more rules and characteristics, with deities continuously appearing.
As the first born under the Lord of Gods was the God of Space, Chronos naturally became the ruler of the Divine Realm, governing the deities, while the God of Darkness, Tartarus, governed the Netherworld, and the God of Light, Amun Ra, assisted the God of Space, Chronos.
Through endless time, more beings came into existence.
The King of Gods, Chaos, vanished from the world.
Conflict was inevitably sparked.
