Chapter 35 The title of "Hollywood veteran" is something you can't get past, right?
Seeing her suggestive look, Jiang Youzhen realized he had been a bit abrupt. Worried that she might be misunderstood, he took two steps back and then smiled as he explained to them.
"There's a newly opened talent agency upstairs. One of the owners is my mother. It just opened today, and there's a small celebration upstairs. If you're interested, you can come up and take a look. This is the company's business card, and this... is my contact information. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me anytime."
Fortunately, he had a small notebook and pen with him. He quickly wrote down his phone number, and under the watchful eyes of several people across from him, he tore off a piece of paper and handed it to them.
"My name is Kang Woo-jin. You can call me by my name, or you don't have to call me... Hollywood senior."
After finishing his explanation to the somewhat unfamiliar women, Jiang Youzhen avoided their gaze, though he still looked a little uncomfortable.
Perhaps it was because these people were staring at him that he felt a chill down his spine.
Although he gave them his number and specifically mentioned the "Hollywood senior," he avoided their gazes and instead kept glancing at Kim Tae-yeon.
Meanwhile, their good friend Kim Tae-yeon, like a thief, kept giving Kang Woo-jin meaningful glances.
The group instantly realized that this method of contact must have another purpose.
Kang Woo-jin didn't understand what Kim Tae-yeon was trying to hint at, and he blinked in confusion.
As if she had just thought of something, she suddenly asked, "Want some coffee? It's on me. I just got a membership card and put a lot of money on it. Can you guys swipe it for me to accumulate points?"
Upon hearing this, the girls immediately smiled. Having points as an excuse gave them a reason to treat everyone, but they didn't agree right away. Instead, they looked at Kim Tae-yeon.
Before the girl could react, Kang Woo-jin walked back to the cashier, asked the cashier for a menu, and handed it to Kwon Yu-ri, who had a strong impression of him before.
Seeing this, Kim Tae-yeon wanted to say something, but Kang Woo-jin shook his head, implying it was okay. Helpless, she agreed.
"Thanks, Hollywood veteran!"
"Thank you for the treat, senior."
These girls all had incredibly sweet smiles, but they just couldn't shake off the title of "Hollywood veteran."
Among the group, only one girl, who looked like a middle school student, was different from the others. She politely bowed her head to thank them, speaking in a proper and upright tone, behaving like a typical well-behaved student.
Taking this opportunity, Kim Tae-yeon introduced her friends one by one. Kang Woo-jin stood behind her, looking rather reserved. In fact, he was indeed reserved and nervous.
Anyone would feel uncomfortable if these girls were staring at them intently, especially since there was no malice in their eyes, only admiration and teasing.
"This is Jessica Jung, who also came back from the US. Tiffany is another one; we all call her Tiffany. They're both from overseas. Tiffany's Korean isn't particularly good, but I think you can relate to her accent, right?"
As she spoke the last sentence, Kim Tae-yeon's tone changed slightly, and she looked up at him with a strange expression.
She still remembered it. The more she thought about it after she got home that day, the more suspicious it seemed, and then she figured it out.
But she didn't feel anything bad, and that was enough.
"These three are Kim Hyoyeon, Kwon Yuri, and Choi Sooyoung. They came up with the title 'Hollywood Seniors,' and they are the best dancers among us."
"The two maknaes in the practice room, Yoona and Joohyun, are in another practice room, but they get along better with us. They're very well-behaved and pretty, aren't they?"
So she's the maknae...no wonder she's so proper and well-behaved.
Jiang Youzhen's smile was somewhat stiff. He quickly glanced at the group of people and nodded awkwardly as he introduced himself.
"Kang Woo-jin, please just call me by my name. There's no need to call me 'senior,' I'm not really a senior... I just said that once, does it sound a bit awkward to say it again now?"
He asked those last two questions to Kim Tae-yeon, but she shook her head and smiled, indicating it was okay.
At least Kang Woo-jin didn't tell her to call him "Anders," so she didn't mind.
After the staff brought them coffee and juice, they found a seat and sat down. Kang Woo-jin subconsciously glanced at the girl's clothes.
The short-sleeved shirt was loose, and the shorts tucked in a bit when the person sat down, revealing skin that shimmered faintly under the light, which was somewhat dazzling at first glance.
He glanced around, quickly took off his suit jacket and covered her legs, whispering, "Be careful not to expose yourself."
Kim Tae-yeon glanced at the overly loose coat on her legs. After a brief moment of stiffness, she remembered something and quickly turned to look at the others.
...
Unsurprisingly, the group stared at him as if he were some melodramatic family soap opera airing at 8 a.m.
She opened her mouth, wanting to say "no need," but the ringing of her cell phone interrupted her.
Jiang Youzhen took out his phone and saw that it was Jiang Jingshu's secretary contacting him, so he immediately answered, "I'm at the coffee shop downstairs."
"Woo-jin, the director is looking for you. Director Hwang In-rae is here too, and the cast and crew are here as well."
Hearing the secretary's tone, Jiang Youzhen knew he should go upstairs. He responded briefly on the phone, and after noticing the gazes of the girls at the table, he quickly hung up.
"Excuse me, I have to go upstairs. The director from the film crew is here, and I need to go and greet him."
After saying that, Kang Woo-jin looked at Kim Tae-yeon and smiled apologetically. After seeing the girl shake her head slightly, he quickly ran out of the coffee shop. Before leaving, he didn't forget to take the dessert he had packed.
They watched Kang Woo-jin leave, and Choi Soo-young quickly looked at the suit jacket covering Kim Tae-yeon's legs, teasingly saying with a smile, "Tae-yeon, aren't you going to explain yourself?"
"Our Hollywood senior is such a gentleman. Did you see those eyes? Up close, mixed-race people are indeed good-looking," Kwon Yuri raised an eyebrow and pointed to her face, praising her without reservation.
"But the clothes of the Hollywood veterans are still here, is that alright? Or are you planning to go upstairs, Taeyeon?" Kim Hyoyeon reached out and touched the coat. The quality of the coat was very good, it didn't feel like clothes from the market, but rather like it was tailor-made.
Kim Tae-yeon was somewhat speechless at being called "Hollywood senior" repeatedly. She shook her head and said, "I'm a trainee, it's not appropriate for me to go to these agencies. Besides, there should be a lot of people upstairs. Didn't you see how many cars are parked outside, and there are paparazzi reporters too?"
As for the coat, she wasn't worried at all. They had arranged to meet in the evening via text message yesterday, so she could simply return the coat then.
Upon hearing her say this, the group turned to look outside the coffee shop.
A talent agency opened upstairs, so naturally many people from the entertainment industry came here, along with a lot of reporters and paparazzi. All sorts of vehicles came and went, filling up the underground parking lot, and even the area outside the coffee shop was filled with vans.
It's obvious that there must be a lot of people upstairs.
