Chapter 15 Remember to contact me
Chapter 15 Remember to contact me
The cabin hovered at the top of the Ferris wheel for a few seconds, and fireworks burst forth in dazzling bursts not far from them.
The girl quickly forgot what she had said, focusing her attention on the fireworks outside, leaving the boy opposite her lost in thought.
The fireworks at the amusement park were exceptionally beautiful, like being transported to a dream.
The Ferris wheel quickly completed a full rotation, and the two stepped out of the cabin. This time, Kim Tae-yeon jumped out on her own, but she was a little unsteady on her feet, so Kang Woo-jin quickly went down to support her.
Thank you.
"You're a little thin. You should eat more when you get home, and take some calcium supplements to help you grow taller."
"..."
Kim Tae-yeon: Thank you!
Jiang Youzhen had no idea that his words would make the girl hold a grudge for a very long time.
The two walked a short distance toward the parade, but didn't get too close. Instead, they found a good spot to watch the parade from the upper floor of a nearby restaurant.
The parade is expected to last nearly three hours, which is equivalent to a loop around the main road in the amusement park. Some staff members will also give out small souvenirs and candy that children like.
Kang Woo-jin didn't intend to waste time watching the parade, but Kim Tae-yeon was very interested and full of energy, perhaps because she had eaten some late-night snacks and replenished her strength.
Before the parade ended, Kim Ji-yong called Kang Woo-jin to explain that his parents were with him and to ask about Kim Tae-yeon's location, as his family was heading back to the hotel.
I went out and played from morning till night today, and it's not early anymore.
After learning the location of the Kim family, Kang Woo-jin replied that he would bring Kim Tae-yeon there immediately.
On the way to the meeting point, his gaze would occasionally drift to the girl beside him, thinking about their chance encounter that day and the time they spent strolling and chatting together.
They noticed that the number of tourists around them was increasing, and everyone was heading towards the entrance because of time constraints, including them.
Jiang Youzhen slightly turned his body, shielding the girl within his arms. After a moment's thought, he asked, feigning composure, "How was your day?"
He was somewhat concerned, but still hoped the girl would give a good answer.
Kim Tae-yeon looked up at him, then down at the dog plush toy in her bag, and couldn't help but smile. "Of course it was fun! Thank you for playing with me so much today."
"You're welcome. Do you still have that Polaroid camera with you? Remember to contact me when you get back. If it's inconvenient, use your brother's; he has my contact information."
Kim Ji-yong's main role at this moment is to be a tool. Kim Tae-yeon wouldn't feel sorry for her brother, and Kang Woo-jin certainly wouldn't either.
After walking for a while, the two sides successfully met up. Jiang Youzhen politely said goodbye to the elders, escorted them to the parking lot, and then gave a hint to the staff here, asking them to drive away through the staff entrance.
After watching the car drive away, Jiang Youzhen turned around and walked back. The amusement park only stopped operating at 1 a.m., and there was an opening event tomorrow, so the cleaners were cleaning up the area.
He stood under the streetlight, took out his wallet from his pocket, and pulled out a well-preserved photograph.
This is a photo taken a few years ago in Jeonju by Mads Wu, showing him and a girl.
"It's a pity today's camera is an instant camera..."
Otherwise, he would preserve new memories.
He put the photo back in his wallet and kept it safe. When Jiang Youzhen returned to the office building, only Jiang Jingshu's secretary was there waiting for him.
"You're back."
It was late, and those remaining were mostly staff members organizing documents. The secretary explained that Jiang Jingshu had gone back to Seoul early because of business at the studio.
He did send a message to Jiang Youzhen, but he didn't see it.
"Sorry, I was in a hurry and didn't check my phone. Thank you for your help." Jiang Youzhen saw the missed calls and unread messages from Jiang Jingshu on his phone and felt a headache coming on. He bowed his head and thanked his secretary.
The secretary nodded and then asked, "Are you going back to the hotel or back to Seoul?"
"The hotel, my luggage is there."
"Okay, let's go then."
The vehicle slowly drove away from the amusement park. On the way, Kang Woo-jin contacted Kang Jung-seo and learned that she was already in Seoul. She was going back this time because of a new script.
They keep complaining that melodramatic romance dramas are hard to write, but they're actually doing it very quickly. Look, people are already coming to their door to discuss business.
After hanging up the phone, Jiang Youzhen began planning his new script. He always had new ideas, but unfortunately, due to time constraints, he couldn't immerse himself in the creative process.
The next day, Kang Woo-jin went back to Seoul with his secretary. He had an extra contact in his phone, which made him feel much better first thing in the morning.
The girl texted him as soon as she woke up in the morning, but she felt that she wouldn't use the number for long, and she wouldn't be able to contact Jiang Youzhen often anyway.
Putting aside the reasons why Jiang Youzhen went abroad to study, even she herself had to go to school, and during her school years, her parents kept her cell phone.
However, her brother, Jin Zhiyong, doesn't follow so many rules and regulations. He's always glued to his phone, and neither the school nor his parents care.
"If all else fails, use your brother's phone."
Jin Zhiyong is a long-time tool for his sister. Even when his sister orders him around, he doesn't know how to refuse because Jiang Youzhen sent him some fun toys and snacks.
He was bound by both the promise of receiving a bribe and the promise of being fed, so even if Jin Zhiyong had objections, it was useless.
When they returned to Seoul, it was still early. Kang Woo-jin thanked his secretary. He wanted to give her a tip, but then he thought that it didn't seem to be a custom in China.
Only the maid was at home. Jiang Youzhen greeted the maid he met on the street and walked towards the kitchen while thinking about the rest of his vacation.
It seems his vacation is almost over, and he needs to go back early to pack his luggage at the apartment. It's estimated that Mads Wu hasn't been back to the apartment during his time back in China.
Expecting Dad to do housework is like hoping God will send down a cleaner.
"I also need to go to school early to register my information, and... well, there's the production progress of the second part, but I don't need to worry about that."
As for movies, his work ended long ago. Now, besides dealing with the production company, he's planning new projects.
Just as Jiang Youzhen took a can of milk out of the refrigerator, his phone rang.
The call was from my maternal grandfather. He was concerned about whether his grandson had come home and wanted to take the good-looking and charming child out for a social event so that he could also meet his friends.
It's nothing more than showing off how outstanding, well-behaved, and handsome their child is...
Jiang Youzhen instinctively wanted to refuse, but when he heard the old man say that the dinner party that evening was for directors and technicians from the production company, he immediately agreed.
Even if he's shy around strangers, he still needs to expand his network.
