Chapter 134 Full of Deceit
Chapter 134 Full of Deceit
Vic understood his meaning and quickly stepped forward, making a few gesturing motions in the air with his hands. With a smile on his face, he advised, "Junior Brother Lin Wei, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Don't miss it. We wizard apprentices should also exchange ideas more. We can't work in isolation; that won't be good for our future development."
"Yes, let's all set off together." Another person chimed in, gesturing with his hands and looking eager.
Looking at their eager expressions, Lin Wei frowned even more, waving his hands in front of him and saying with a troubled look, "No, I still have to participate in the Challenge Cup in a few years, and I just bought a ship and I'm short on points. Going out to explore now would just be a waste of time."
"Unless someone is willing to give me some points, no, I mean lend them to me."
At this point, Lin Wei grinned, revealing two rather playful tiger teeth.
These people all wanted to harm him, just like the others he encountered before, such as Angbi. However, after he killed Angbi, nothing was dropped, and he didn't get any academy points either. It was a huge loss.
Lin Wei thought to himself, "If you want to harm me, you'll have to hand over your points first. After I kill you all, I'll still have some gains."
"Otherwise, if I get nothing, I'll lose a fortune."
Lin Wei didn't think these wizard apprentices could have anything good. Even if they had resources, he would definitely use them himself.
"Forehead……"
Everyone could see that Lin Wei was trying to bargain with them. Gautama was furious, his face flushed red, veins bulging on his forehead, his hands clenched into fists, his knuckles cracking from the force.
"That kid is cunning and treacherous. If he weren't in the organization, I would have killed him back then." Gautama was furious, his teeth grinding together.
Vic and the others were also speechless. Vic opened his mouth, but couldn't say anything. He just shook his head helplessly.
Lin Wei may seem harmless, but he's surprisingly ruthless when it comes to bargaining.
"It's nothing, I'll go back to my cultivation." After saying that, Lin Wei turned and left, his steps hurried, as if afraid of being stopped by them.
If you refuse openly and honestly, these people won't do anything to you.
"Wait!" Gautama reached out, his arm trembling slightly from the force, his voice urgent. "Junior brother needs points, we'll lend them to you. I have a little over a hundred points left, consider it your fee for helping you."
Lin Wei stopped, turned around, grinned, and his smile was somewhat sly.
"I still have over fifty points left," Vic said with a wry smile, his brows furrowed into a deep frown, and his hands spread out helplessly.
"I'm forty, let's chip in."
Soon, the four of them had pooled together two hundred points for Lin Wei, eagerly waiting for him to nod in agreement. They surrounded Lin Wei, their eyes fixed on him, as if afraid he might change his mind.
"Two hundred points is a lot."
Lin Weicheng said with trepidation, accepting the points with both hands and showing a "polite" smile on his face.
Seeing his sudden change of expression, Gautama and the others were so angry that their teeth itched. They gripped their wands so tightly that their hands turned white and the wands creaked in their hands.
They previously made outrageous demands to borrow points, but now that they've received them, they're all acting all polite.
"Let's not delay, shall we go?" Gautama urged, his eyes revealing urgency and ruthlessness.
These people are so determined to kill me; they'd rather give me points than let me leave.
"No problem, let's go." Lin Wei nodded with a smile, a hint of cunning flashing in his eyes.
"Let's go, junior brother. You definitely won't regret this exploration," Vic said enthusiastically, a fake smile plastered on his face, waving his hands in the air.
"I won't regret it, I won't regret it." Lin Wei nodded seriously, his eyes firm.
The group had barely stepped out of Lin Wei's manor when they encountered Dora, who was carrying a plate of pastries. The surrounding area was a somewhat tangled grove of trees, the branches rustling gently in the breeze.
She looked at Lin Wei and the others, her brows furrowed, her eyes revealing wariness.
She remembered Gautama and Vic; they were both hypocritical, especially Gautama, who always looked at her with the same rudeness as if she were prey.
"Huh? Lin Wei, are you getting ready to go out?" Dora said with a frown, her eyes filled with worry.
"Yes, we're preparing to go out and explore with the division commanders," Lin Wei nodded, a relaxed smile on his face.
Gautama and the others, however, felt guilty and stammered, unsure of what to say. Their bodies trembled slightly, and their eyes revealed panic.
"Then you can eat this plate of pastries first." Dora rolled her eyes at Lin Wei, placed the pastries in front of him, and added softly, "Is that okay?"
"Don't worry." Lin Wei gave him a reassuring look, his eyes full of confidence.
"Senior Sister Dora, your pastry-making skills are getting better and better! They smell so good!" Victor snapped out of his daze and said with a grin, his eyes glued to the pastries, his mouth practically watering. "Can I have a piece?"
"You can't, I made these for Lin Wei." Dora shook her head, her eyes resolute, and held the pastries protectively in front of her.
"Uh..." Vic was embarrassed, scratching his head with both hands.
Lin Wei ignored them and started eating by himself, chewing constantly and occasionally complaining about how bad her cooking was. In the eyes of Qiao Damo and the others, they looked like a young couple.
Gautama was so angry that his eyes were practically spitting fire. He could only turn his head away and take deep breaths to calm himself down, his chest heaving with rage.
After a while, Lin Wei finished eating, patted his stomach, and signaled to the others that they could continue their journey.
He waved goodbye to Doraemon, who stood there with a look of reluctance in her eyes.
Lin Wei remained completely calm. These people had no idea of his current strength; he could easily crush them.
Lin Wei thought to himself, "Once this matter is settled, I need to explore the outside world on my own, at least until I break through to the first-class wizard apprentice level. If my guess is correct, 2999 elemental factors are enough to break through to the first-class wizard apprentice level, but 29999 are the prerequisites for becoming a first-ring wizard." His fingers unconsciously tapped the table, his eyes revealing determination.
"Then there's the breakthrough potion for the Challenge Cup, the Banshee Potion, which can solidify mental power and form a Wizard's Ring. Over the years, I haven't been able to find any breakthrough potions within the organization, which means this stuff is extremely rare." Lin Wei frowned, a look of worry on his face.
Soon, the group arrived at the harbor. In the harbor, boats of various sizes were moored along the shore, the waves gently lapping against their hulls with a rhythmic sound. A salty, damp sea breeze swept over them, ruffling their clothes.
"Junior Brother Lin Wei, shall we rent a boat?" Vic asked, his face full of anticipation.
If they were on a ship, they could have killed Lin Wei en route.
"You can rent one yourselves. I have a boat, so I'll leave it there," Lin Wei said, pointing to his small boat that was being maintained in the harbor.
Lin Wei felt their boat was unlucky, and he'd rather use his own.
