Chapter 31 Rabbit Teeth
Chapter 31 Rabbit Teeth
The next day, Saturday.
The diligent Huang Lizhi had already gone to the company early to prepare for practice. When Li Yuan got up, he only saw a breakfast carefully wrapped in plastic wrap on the dining table.
A sandwich and a cup of hot milk, with a small sticky note next to it that says "Oppa, fighting!" in Korean, followed by a crooked smiley face.
She probably woke Li Yuan up at the exact time, and to keep the breakfast from getting cold, she deliberately ate her own breakfast first before preparing this one for Li Yuan.
Although it was just a simple bread sandwich with eggs and vegetables and hot milk, it was already quite an achievement for her.
"As expected, cooking skills can improve gradually." Li Yuan smiled and took a bite of the sandwich. The bread was soft, the vegetables were crisp, and the taste was indeed quite good. "Lychee does a pretty good job with something as simple as this... Hmm?"
As he muttered to himself, he suddenly felt that something was wrong with the taste in his mouth. After swallowing, a faint, burnt bitter taste lingered at the back of his tongue.
Li Yuan hurriedly broke open the sandwich, peeling back the layers one by one, and then discovered the fried egg hidden at the very back.
That dark ring was hidden at the very inside.
"This Huang Lizhi." Li Yuan shook his head helplessly, stuffed the fried egg back in, and took another bite.
There are so many ways to express her feelings, but she insisted on choosing to cook for herself as a way to thank him.
I don't know if he wanted to "poison" himself so he could inherit the house.
After lunch, Li Yuan carried his bag and documents and headed to Seoul National University.
I packed my things yesterday; I have to report for duty today.
When Li Yuan arrived at school by taxi, he once again experienced the disadvantages of not having a car.
I really need to buy a car.
I've saved up some money in the last two years, so I'll see how I can buy a car in South Korea.
However, I don't have any brand obsession with this thing; as long as it works and is functional, that's enough.
As for Huang Lizhi's comment that he was going to buy himself a luxury car, Li Yuan didn't take it seriously.
Huang Lizhi's family was already of modest means, and the incident when he was a child cost them so much money that they were already struggling financially.
The first thing she does with her earnings is to help support her family; she wouldn't have any extra money to buy him a car.
It's enough that the child has this intention.
As the taxi drove through the streets of Gwanak-gu, the gates of Seoul National University came into view in the distance.
Seoul National University is the oldest national comprehensive university in South Korea and is widely recognized as the country's top university. It is located in Gwanak-gu, Seoul.
The campus is nestled among rolling hills, shaded by green trees, with ancient buildings and modern teaching buildings interspersed, and stone paths winding through the shadows of the trees.
Walking on campus, since it was Saturday, most students seemed more relaxed than usual—sitting in twos and threes chatting on the lawn, or queuing in front of the coffee shop.
However, Lee Won heard that Seoul National University is actually quite competitive.
Li Yuan didn't intend to get involved with them.
I've already achieved financial freedom, so instead of competing with them, I should focus on figuring out how to spend all the money in the future.
Moreover, just selling his shares in a few companies would probably be enough for him to squander for the rest of his life.
Especially the JYP stock that I bought at the bottom a few years ago.
"I'm sorry, I have a girlfriend."
On his way out of the administration building, this was the third time Li Yuan had used this phrase to refuse any attempts to strike up a conversation.
The female students at Seoul National University were clearly very interested in this unfamiliar face, and several of them had already approached him under the pretext of asking for directions to strike up a conversation.
Li Yuan's looks are indeed quite striking among college students, especially after he dressed up so carefully today. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that he could debut as the visual center of a boy group.
There was nothing else to do after the report; the specific enrollment procedures and course arrangements would not be officially processed until Monday.
I guess I'll have to break my promise to have dinner with Zhao Meiyan on Monday.
However, I have plenty of time to eat in the evening, but it's unlikely that a female idol would come out to eat with me late at night, right?
If this is captured on camera, then even without solid evidence, it's impossible to explain.
Since I don't live on campus, I don't even have to worry about dormitory matters.
The teacher in charge of reception was visibly taken aback when Li Yuan said "there is a place to stay".
Rent in Seoul is very expensive, and the biggest problem is that you have to pay a huge deposit, often tens of millions of won, which is an astronomical figure for ordinary students.
Students usually try their best to apply for on-campus dormitories as their place of residence. Although the application is not always successful, it is rare to see someone give up like this.
"So, has Li Yuan already rented a house?" the teacher couldn't help but ask.
"Rent a place?" Li Yuan was taken aback for a moment, then subconsciously replied, "My home is in the Jiangnan District."
"Isn't Li Yuan Chinese?" The teacher's expression was initially puzzled, then suddenly realized, "Oh, you're mixed race, right? One of your parents is Korean?"
"No, I'm purely Chinese." Li Yuan frowned. "I just bought a house here."
Even if it's a mix of Chinese and Korean, that's nothing compared to what a mixed-race person is.
"Oh, I'm sorry." The teacher nodded and didn't ask any more questions.
So he's a rich kid.
After finishing everything, it was already past 3 p.m.
"Would it be better to go directly to JYP?" Li Yuan wondered.
I went back to South Korea; that old bastard couldn't possibly not know.
He thought Park Jin-young would call yesterday, but he waited until today and there was still no word.
They're quite tolerant.
"Excuse me," a slightly familiar voice sounded from behind, carrying a deliberately lowered, sweet tone, "Can we get to know each other?"
"Sorry, I have a girlfriend." Li Yuan reflexively said the words he had already said three times today, while turning around with a polite smile on his face.
Then he froze.
Standing in front of him was a "familiar face" wearing a baseball cap, a mask pulled down to his chin, revealing his entire face.
Those round eyes were wide open, and their mouths were slightly agape, giving them a look of utter disbelief.
"Nayeon?" Lee Won asked somewhat awkwardly, looking at Lim Nayeon who was wearing a hat.
No, how did Lim Na-yeon end up at Seoul National University?
"Oh, even Noona isn't calling anymore?" Lim Nayeon snapped out of her daze, her eyebrows furrowing. "She's been corrupted by Sana and the others!"
She put her hands on her hips and took a step forward aggressively.
"And another thing, where did you get a girlfriend? I didn't know about her."
"I've been asked this several times already!" Li Yuan said, slightly embarrassed. "So I came up with an excuse to refuse being hit on."
"Aigoo, our little Won is quite popular too!" Lim Nayeon's expression instantly changed from interrogation to gossip, and she grabbed Lee Won's arm. "You can even get hit on at Seoul National University."
"Noona still hasn't said how you ended up here?" Lee Won quickly changed the subject, "You got into Seoul National University too?"
"How could that be? I could never get into Seoul National University even if I lived ten lifetimes," Lim Nayeon said, pouting.
"That's true..."
"What did you say?" Lim Na-yeon revealed her rather "intimidating" rabbit teeth.
"I said, how could that be? Noona obviously doesn't want to go to Seoul National University. If you wanted to, it would be a piece of cake!"
"So why are you here?"
