Chapter 91 So this is what bonds are like
After Tian Xiwei finished washing up, Lin Feng handed her a towel: "Dry your hair, don't catch a cold."
"Brother Feng, help me wipe myself." Xiao Tian stuffed the towel into his hand and obediently sat on the edge of the bed.
Lin Feng picked up a towel and gently wiped her long hair.
"Brother Feng," Xiao Tian suddenly spoke up, "What are we doing today?"
"Playing games, chatting, anything is fine," Lin Feng said. "Anyway, I don't need to go out today."
"Yay!" Xiaotian pulled him towards the bed. "Let's play games first!"
The two lay in bed and opened Honor of Kings. Xiao Tian chose Daji, while Lin Feng played Arthur.
"Brother Feng, look! I got another kill!" Xiao Tian shouted excitedly.
"Impressive." Lin Feng smiled, manipulating Arthur to silence the assassin opposite him. "Be careful, don't rush in too recklessly."
After the game ended, they won. Xiao Tian put down his phone, leaned over and kissed Lin Feng on the cheek: "Reward!"
'
Lin Feng was taken aback for a moment, then smiled and pinched her cheek: "That's all the reward you got?"
Xiaotian blinked, then kissed him on the lips again. "Is that enough?"
At noon, the two ordered takeout: sweet and sour pork ribs and scrambled eggs with tomatoes, which Xiaotian loves.
Xiao Tian put all the ribs into Lin Feng's bowl: "Brother Feng, eat more so you'll have the energy to play games with me this afternoon."
"You eat too." Lin Feng put the ribs back on his plate. "You used up so much energy yesterday, you need to replenish it."
Xiaotian's face flushed red, and she buried her head in her rice.
In the afternoon, the two continued to spend time together. After playing games until they were tired, they lay in bed chatting.
Xiao Tian leaned against Lin Feng's chest, listening to him recount funny stories from their childhood, occasionally interjecting a word or two, laughing heartily.
"Brother Feng," Xiao Tian suddenly looked up, her eyes sparkling, "I really wish every day could be like this, with you, without having to do anything."
That evening, the two ordered takeout again. After dinner, Xiaotian lay in Lin Feng's arms, her little hands wandering restlessly over his body.
"Brother Feng," she said softly, "so this is what bonds are like."
Lin Feng grabbed her hand: "Don't move."
"Brother Feng, I feel like I've almost recovered. I feel like I can do it again." Xiao Tian looked up and kissed Lin Feng's lips.
Afterwards, Xiao Tian lay on Lin Feng's chest, panting, and said, "This is even more fun than playing video games."
Lin Feng chuckled and pinched her cheek: "Little slut."
"No way!" Xiao Tian retorted, unconvinced, and suddenly sat up. "Brother Feng, when are we going to announce it to the public?"
"Announce Xi Yao?"
"Let's announce that we're boyfriend and girlfriend!" Oda said matter-of-factly.
Lin Feng sighed: "Xiao Tian, we can't go public for now."
"Why?" Xiaotian's face immediately fell. "Don't you want to acknowledge me?"
"No," Raymond Lam said earnestly, holding her hand, "We're celebrities now, and going public with a relationship would have a huge impact on our careers. Look at any young artist, which one dares to go public with their relationship?"
Xiaotian thought about it and realized that it seemed to be true. She had read a lot of entertainment news, and it always seemed to cause a lot of trouble when celebrities went public with their relationships. "It seems so."
"So," Lin Feng patted her head, "when we both become big stars and have enough power to fight off those rumors, let's go public, okay?"
"Really?"
"real."
Xiao Tian then smiled: "Can I tell Hao Chun and Sister Yi Tong? They'll definitely be happy for us."
"That won't work either." Lin Feng shook his head. "What if they accidentally let it slip and someone else finds out?"
"They won't!" Oda exclaimed anxiously.
"It's better to be safe than sorry," Lin Feng said. "This is a secret between the two of us, and we can't tell anyone else for now, okay?"
Xiaotian pouted and nodded reluctantly: "Okay, so how long are we going to keep this secret?"
'
"Very soon."
As night deepened, Xiao Tian lay in Lin Feng's arms and quickly fell asleep.
The next morning, the two packed their things and headed to the airport. Xiao Tian was able to walk much better now, though she would still feel a little awkward occasionally. Lin Feng had taken good care of her the night before and hadn't dared to go too crazy.
When they arrived at the set of "Hello, Old Times," it was already past 11 a.m. Liu Haochun was memorizing his lines on set. Seeing them arrive, he immediately ran over excitedly: "Brother Feng, you're finally here! Weiwei, you're here too!"
"Haochun!" Xiaotian greeted her with a smile and gave her a hug.
At noon, Lin Feng, Tian Xiwei, and Liu Haochun sat down around a small folding table, their lunchboxes containing simple meals.
"Brother Feng, try this." Tian Xiwei picked up a piece of pork rib with her chopsticks and put it into Lin Feng's bowl.
Lin Feng nodded. Liu Haochun, holding her lunchbox, glanced between him and Xiao Tian before lowering her head to eat. She felt something was off.
Lin Feng took a couple of bites of rice and asked, "Hao Chun, how did your filming go during the two weeks I was away?"
"It went very smoothly, Brother Feng. Senior Brother Zhou Ming took good care of me."
In the afternoon, Raymond Lam changed into Lin Yang's blue and white school uniform and stood in front of the camera trying out a few expressions. Liu Haochun, wearing the same school uniform, stood opposite him.
"Don't be nervous," Lin Feng said softly. "Just be natural, like we did before."
Liu Haochun nodded and took a deep breath. The moment she heard "Start," the hesitation in her eyes disappeared.
Tian Xiwei sat on a folding chair by the sidelines, her fingers swiping randomly on her phone screen, completely wasting her time playing the game.
She was clearly watching the game, but out of the corner of her eye, she couldn't help but glance at the film set, where she saw Raymond Lam patting Liu Haochun on the shoulder and seeing them walking side by side and laughing.
"It's just acting," she muttered under her breath, poking the enemy on the screen with her finger. "What's so great about it?" But she couldn't suppress the discomfort in her heart.
When filming wrapped up in the evening, the crew set up a table at a nearby restaurant to welcome Raymond Lam back. Zhou Ming raised his glass and said, "Junior brother, you've finally arrived! We've been waiting for you, the male lead, for the past two weeks."
"It's my fault, I'm late." Lin Feng smiled and raised his glass. "I'll punish myself with three drinks."
"Hey, no, no," Zhou Ming stopped him, "You need to rest tonight, just a little something is fine."
Tian Xiwei sat next to Lin Feng and, when no one was looking, quietly replaced the baijiu in his glass with mineral water.
Feng Ge just finished filming this afternoon; he drank too much and won't be energetic tomorrow.
At the dinner table, Zhou Ming talked about the process of filming "Hello, Old Times" for half a month. Lin Feng occasionally chimed in, while Tian Xiwei peeled shrimp for him. Liu Haochun didn't say much, just silently drank his juice.
Back in the room, Lin Feng had just finished washing up and was lying on the bed when he heard a slight click of the door lock. Tian Xi came in, locked the door behind her, ran to the bedside, and suddenly threw herself into his arms.
"Brother Feng, I knew you understood what I meant!" She tilted her head up and pecked him.
The two had been playfully fighting for a while and were preparing for their next move when there was a knock on the door.
Who is it?
"Brother Feng, it's me." It was Liu Haochun's voice.
Tian Xiwei's face fell instantly, and Lin Feng quickly pushed her towards the bathroom: "Quickly go inside and hide."
"Why?" Xiaotian asked, still clutching the hem of his clothes.
"Your coat!" Lin Feng pointed to her clothes. He had accidentally torn her coat when they were playing around earlier.
Xiaotian reluctantly slipped into the bathroom, not forgetting to glare at the doorway.
Lin Feng straightened his clothes and went to open the door: "Haochun, is something wrong so late?"
Liu Haochun stood at the door, holding a script in her hand, looking a little embarrassed: "Brother Feng, I have a question about the role that I'd like to ask you. I forgot to ask it during dinner." Actually, she didn't have any questions; she just hadn't seen him for half a month and wanted to find an excuse to talk to him.
"Come in." Lin Feng stepped aside to let her in.
Liu Haochun sat on the sofa, opened the script, and pointed to a page: "It's here. Should the emotion here be grievance or anger?"
Lin Feng took the script and patiently explained, "Yu Zhouzhou has been sensitive since childhood. She's afraid of causing trouble for Lin Yang, but she's also somewhat hoping he'll say it won't be a problem," so her expression should be a mix of grievance and testing.
Inside the bathroom, Tian Xi pressed herself against the door, listening to the conversation outside. She stomped her feet in frustration. "Can't they even understand such a simple question? Are they doing this on purpose?! Why aren't they leaving? They've been talking for almost 20 minutes!"
Just as she was getting annoyed, she heard Liu Haochun say, "Brother Feng, I still don't quite understand. Could you explain it again?"
"How stupid!" Xiaotian cursed inwardly.
Lin Feng patiently explained it again. This time, Liu Haochun listened attentively, and as soon as he finished, he immediately had a look of sudden understanding: "Oh! I understand! Thank you, Brother Feng!"
"Good, get some rest. You have filming tomorrow."
"Okay, goodnight, Feng."
As soon as the door closed, Tian Xiwei rushed out of the bathroom: "Brother Feng! Hao Chun is so annoying! He's bothering us!"
"Alright, alright," Lin Feng said with a smile, pulling her into his arms. "Everyone's gone, it's still early."
Xiaotian calmed down, stood on tiptoe to kiss him, and slid her hand down his shirt.
Just as the two were getting into the swing of things, the phone on the bedside table suddenly rang, and the words "Liu Haochun" appeared on the screen.
"Why is she calling again?" Xiaotian frowned, her tone full of impatience.
"Should I answer?" Lin Feng asked, looking at her.
"I'm not answering!" Xiaotian buried her face in the crook of his neck. "Ignore her, let's continue."
After it was over, Tian Xi slumped against Lin Feng's chest, panting as she picked up her phone and dialed Liu Haochun's number back.
"Hello, Haochun." Her voice was still trembling slightly. "I was taking a shower and didn't hear the phone. Is there something you need?"
On the other end of the phone, someone said, "I guessed you were taking a shower, otherwise why did it take you half an hour to call back?"
Xiao Tian's heart skipped a beat. "Yeah, I took a while to shower. What did you want to see me about?"
"It's nothing, I just wanted to chat with you since we haven't seen each other in so long."
"Oh, it's a bit late tonight. I'll come to your room to talk to you tomorrow."
Tian Xiwei put down her phone and snuggled back into Lin Feng's arms, tracing the outline of his chest with her finger: "Hao Chun seems a little strange."
